Surprised by Croatia's starting line-up. Sosa should have started instead of Sutalo which would have allowed Gvariol to play CB. Budimir is more of a sub than a starter. Kramaric started as he should have, but he has a tendency to disappear as a winger. Much better to put him at CF and try to involve him early. That way we can get some natural wingers in the game like Perisic and Pjaca. You could see the difference in the game after Perisic subbed in. For Ederson I think some of it definitely comes down to the fact that while City much like Arsenal don't allow a high amount of shots per game, the small amount they do allow are of high chance/xG etc (which is unlike arsenal) I do believe Ederson has improved his shot stopping though thanks to finally having real competition for his spot in Ortega rather than someone like Zack Steffen who was never really going to take his place and thus push him to be better

It also made me looked up their game in Anfield and it was crazy back and forth. It just bound to be their cup, where the ball bounces the way they would love it. 4:22 - I disagree this was not am impressive performance. They suffocated the Croatian defense with their pressing(how many long balls did Croatia resort to as they could not get out of their own half?) and did what needed to be done to end the game before half time. And their next game is Italy, meaning resolving this super important game with Croatia in the first 45 minutes is even more impressive. In Euro/World Cup tournaments teams that do the simple things better (Ex: tactical and yellow/red cards discipline, second-balls, counter-attack etc) are the ones that advance and end up winning. Not the teams that treat games like a PlayStation match and go for the show (Ex: Spain under Luis Enrique at the last World Cup when he bragged he would never play defensively and pragmatically and was eliminated and sent home the following game).
